The Dragon is the personification of our fears and that which we do not agree with internally and to which we react acutely and painfully. It carries a certain challenge or struggle to save something and can represent a manager, parent or authority figure who has control or other power over you, or your desired goal – those unattainable heights to which you wholeheartedly aspire – so the delivery of a project, taking the exams, the approval of a boss or father is also your dragon. This mystery may manifest itself in a rebellion against authority, promising friction or even confrontation with a superior, examiners, a stubborn teenager or a parent. It is not worth going into open combat, because there may not be enough strength. Minor dirty tricks, mishaps and force majeure, as well as the feeling that you are acting in someone else’s interests, justifying someone else’s expectations, can lead to frustration. The theme of the Full Moon is property, insurance, inheritance, protective structures and saving the “drowning”. It is good to take care of the health of our parents and loved ones (especially men), to look after the security of our home and our belongings and to help those who are vulnerable. Close relationship requires trust and sincere mutual support. Water, relaxing and moistening procedures will have a profound healing effect, whereas music and visual arts will have a beneficial one. This full moon proceeds the tendencies of the early January, because the Mars loop is still twisting, bearing the risks of burns, bites, poisoning, broken and fractured bones. The surgeries on the chest area, lungs and heart, are not recommended, the same for knees before January 20. One should not ask for trouble, but to the best of one’s ability, defend and save what is dear and valuable. You should give oneself time to calm down, relax or even get sick. Before you fly into a rage, consider whether someone did not want to offend you, or whether you yourself will offend someone in vain. In its best this Full Moon will teach us how to cope with our emotional vulnerability, suppressed grievances and to forgive sincerely from the heart. The January 19-20 are special days to let go of the old and to clean the house before the coming of the Lunar New Year or Tết.
